Are We Evolving—or Just Swinging to the Opposite Extreme?

The intention would be to move beyond agreeing with the philosophy and invite people to recognize where the pendulum operates within their own lives.

1. Where have you been taught to choose a side?

Think about the beliefs you inherited through family, education, religion, culture, and society. Which ones have you questioned? Which ones have you never considered questioning?

2. Can two opposing experiences exist without one invalidating the other?

Consider a relationship where two people remember the same event differently. Can we acknowledge both experiences while still maintaining accountability for what actually happened?

3. Where does your personal pendulum swing?

Do you move between overworking and exhaustion? People-pleasing and resentment? Control and surrender? Giving too much and withdrawing completely?

What might your centre look like?

4. Are we creating balance or simply replacing systems of dominance?

Think about masculine and feminine qualities, leadership, relationships, and cultural expectations. How might things change if we stopped associating strength with power over others?

5. What would change if you stopped needing everyone to agree with you?

Could you remain grounded in your values while allowing others to see differently?

What would that freedom feel like?

A Daily Practice — Find Your Centre

This philosophy connects naturally to the nervous-system-aware practices you teach through You Are The Miracle.

I would introduce a simple five-minute daily practice that makes the concept tangible.

Minute 1 — Observe. Close your eyes. Notice your breathing, your thoughts, and the sensations within your body.

Minute 2 — Recognize the pendulum. Ask yourself: Where am I feeling pulled toward an extreme? What am I judging, resisting, or trying to control?

Minute 3 — Explore the opposite. Without abandoning your own perspective, consider what the opposing experience might reveal.

Minute 4 — Return to centre. Take five slow breaths. Feel your feet connecting with the ground. Imagine your awareness expanding beyond the two opposing positions.

Minute 5 — Choose consciously. Ask yourself: What response would honour my values without allowing fear or reactivity to lead?

Your affirmation

I am not required to choose an extreme to know who I am. I can hold complexity, honour my humanity, and return to centre. I am grounded in my truth, open to understanding, and free to choose my response. I am the miracle.

"The next evolution of humanity isn't about choosing a side. It's about expanding our awareness enough to see the whole."

What if the very thing you've been taught to fight is inviting you to understand something you've never been willing to see?
